Description
The miniDSP DDRC-24 audio processor kit—which includes the UMIK-1 microphone—is designed for room acoustic correction using Dirac Live and for active filtering/crossover functions. The DDRC-24 is the most compact processor on the market for this application. It handles both analog (RCA inputs) and digital (USB, Toslink) audio sources.
Dirac Live allows for the correction of loudspeaker playback issues caused by detrimental effects—such as unfavorable positioning and room acoustics—that often arise in real-world setups. Corrections are implemented in the time domain using system calibration and long FIR filters, yielding audibly superior results compared to conventional equalizers.
